Headwaters of the Amazon

May 28, 2013

In 1998, Lance and Belinda Peck travelled from the US to Peru and the Madre De Dios area to explore, photograph, and film various areas of the Amazon. They fell in love with it, staying for several years. A couple years later, Mike Pellegatti of Wild Visions, Inc, joined them in their travels on the rivers and through the rainforest to do the same and captured some amazing footage for this web video. The Amazonian rainforest is a special place, full of incredible biodiversity, medicinal plants, wildlife, plants, and trees, although it is fast disappearing to loggers, miners, and farming. In this video, we share some of the multitudes of experiences and wildlife encounters from there. We hope you enjoy it.
